Government officials today released a statement ensuring citizens that the seemingly spontanious outbursts of fire were just "freak" incidents of trapped methane escaping from under the Earth's crust.
Police have blocked off the area in the hope of avoiding any fatalities..."

i began this as a speed-paint exercise in Painter X. after creating the 'Bot in the foreground i decided to keep going with piece.
i switched into Paint Shop Pro 8 where i layed down a background texture and began experimenting with custom brushes. i continued the process, switching back and forth between Painter and PSP untill i felt satisfied with the result.
