this started as a speedpaint experimenting with a random/newly made custom brush in Paint Shop Pro, purely to try and break my artistic block. it worked...
i randomly threw down some shapes and began to see an un-symetrical mech (story; mech created from junk) emerging. after a few more patches of grey i opened painter and set about inking my 'Bot. (painter is my digital inking tool of choice. i find it better then traditional inking methods). added some colour, experimenting with painters watercolour abilities and then threw it back into PSP for texturing, lighting and background work.
let me know what you think....comments always appreciated....
Seems like you´re getting in into that "chaos style" drawing
Personally I think that your bot could use a bit more dark areas (well it´s only me, you know)
Especially your design of the head gives me a creepy feeling - this eyes sure are piercing
Another thing that´s cool about your bot is that rust look (I believe it´s rust)
The outlines you drew are giving that picture a very special feel - just like a junkbot should look like
Cool one

cheerz d00d3. thankyou very much.
i appreciate the insight.
i welcome constructive critz....and i know what you mean about the dark areas. i got so bogged down with the amount of shadow/highlights layers i was running that something had to give and i went for the ' brighter ' effect. i could have gone dark but i felt it kinda lost some of the ' rust ' texture.

thankyou ever so much for your kind words. i greatly appreciate it!!!
it started as speed-paint experiment and progressed rapidly (a lot faster then i normallly work at).
once most of the lines, colours and textures were down, i left for a few days and then came back to it for final touch ups.
